Our wonderful, friendly, experienced staff are the very heart of Greenway. They are passionate and work exceptionally hard to get things right, we are grateful for them every day. Most of our team are based in Cornwall, but some of us are in Cheltenham and we have a wonderful team based in the Philippines too, which makes for fun and games in our team meetings (mostly weather comparisons and cross cultural japes!).
The Greenway founders have over 80 years combined experience in property conversions, building projects, HMO/Student/Single let management, serviced accommodation, project management, garden design and landscaping, strategy and business management, and investor relations.
2000 to 2018 saw Lee-Anne squeeze in the buying, developing, or controlling of approaching 50 properties alongside starting a family and a busy full-time naval career. She joined the military in 1999 after completing a degree in law, and her 18 years as a Warfare Officer in the RN saw her learn to drive warships, travel widely, have a LOT of fun, meet some amazing people, and obtain post-grad qualifications in Oceanography, Hydrography and Meteorology to boot.
Her first love though (other than her children and her husband Mike of course!) is, and always has been, property. Lee-Anne has a passion for crafting beautiful and thoughtfully-designed spaces, and for serving as many people as possible, in as many ways as possible. This, combined with her ability to see opportunity where others do not, has been the driving force in her investment journey.
Retirement from the RN at the end of 2017 has finally allowed property to become her full time profession rather than a part time ‘hobby', and she has big plans for the future of Greenway.
After graduating from the University of Kent with a degree in Classical Studies and Archaeology Louisa has spent 20 years working with small, medium and large charities to help them become financially sustainable. As a fundraising and strategy consultant, Louisa is very passionate about partnerships, clear communications, and making things happen. Her biggest achievements to date include setting up a HNW giving programme for the Marine Conservation Society, substantially growing income in four areas for Marie Curie, and setting up a regional fundraising programme for bibic. Oh, and learning the Ukelele, which you can’t fail to play without smiling, and persuading Lee to go travelling back in 2001 – it was the beginning of all kinds of wonderful things.
Alongside her fundraising career Louisa also really enjoys working and volunteering with children, because of their enviable and inspiring unpredictability and lust for life. Louisa is happiest outside, either running or walking solo, or camping and enjoying a pint of real ale with family and friends.
Above all Louisa values honesty, efficiency, kindness, and friendship – she will always go the extra mile to fulfil a promise.
Mike has very ably transferred the skills gained and honed in his military career to the world of property. Not least of these are excellent leadership and management abilities, an abundance of (uncommon) common sense, and an all too rare ability to ‘get things done'.Mike graduated in 2001, then travelled the world as a Royal Naval Officer for an extremely rewarding and enjoyable 7 years. He shifted between operational tours in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan and the Gulf, as well as action (and fun) packed deployments which included skiing in Antarctica, climbing in the Alps, and exploring Africa, the Indian Ocean, South America, the Caribbean, Iceland, the US, and Canada, to name but a few.
He left the RN in 2008 to serve as a full-time dad for a time (most challenging mission to date), whilst managing a rapidly growing property portfolio of investments and developments in his ‘spare’ time. During the rare times he’s not working, he loves to get out on his mountain bike, and values family, friendship, fairness and people above all else.
With a carpenter father, Lee’s childhood revolved around building sites and renovations. After graduating with a Business and Marketing degree Lee was drawn back to his property roots and became a Sales and Marketing Manager for a Lettings Agent. Lee loved the people element to his work but was drawn to a more altruistic career.
He moved to Wellchild and developed one of their core charitable outputs - the Helping Hands programme.
Lee’s unique mix of construction, management, marketing, and design skills helped him ably develop this corporate volunteering scheme.
He led a team to design and deliver garden and bedroom makeover projects for over 200 families with children with disabilities and complex care needs. In his spare time Lee has always been involved in property renovation, a passion he still enjoys sharing with his Dad, and has renovated and extended 3 residential homes.
Other than property and helping others, Lee’s massive passion in life is martial arts. He owns a Cheltenham-based martial arts centre, which focuses on taking the best elements from every martial art to create a unique, personalised and effective fighting style. If Lee isn’t knee deep in DIY, or at his dojo, he is probably sat outside, enjoying a pint with his lovely family (talking about martial arts!).
